Car Codex in Car Dealership Tycoon
The in-game brand index from Season 30 — what you own, what you still need, and the rewards for finishing a page.
The Car Codex is Car Dealership Tycoon’s in-game index of garage vehicles, sorted by brand. Foxzie shipped it with Season 30 on 20 June 2026, in the same week as a moto-season trailer (the video in the middle of this page). It is not the Settings box where you type FOGISCOMING. Promo strings stay on codes. Codex is collection tracking: owned versus missing, brand pages, and rewards for finishing a line.
Open it from a Codex control on the left side of the HUD. The UI lists every car Foxzie currently tracks, with search by brand. Completing a collection (for example every Pagani or every ABT on that page) can grant a reward. Aircraft and a few special summons are excluded. If this wiki and the Codex disagree after a patch, believe the Codex, then come back to vehicles.
How to read a Codex page
Each brand tile shows owned over total, plus thumbnails. Green counts mean you finished that make. Search is the fastest way to check a single car before you trade for it. The header total (community screenshots in late 2026 showed totals in the 620–644 range) moves when Foxzie adds a shop car, a limited, or a licensed badge. It also moves when a copyright strike removes a line — Ford left on 28 May 2025.
Licensed pages worth opening first: Zenvo (Aurora Agil, TSR-GT, TSR-GT Foxzie Edition, from 2 November 2024) and Pagani (the 2025 expansion). Those cars sit in S-tier for most traders on the limited cars page. Filling the page is a collector goal, not a first-hour goal.
Rewards for finishing a brand
Codex completion is a separate currency from Daily Rewards and from Season 32 trophies. Finish a listed collection and the UI pays a reward for that page. Do not skip pads to chase a 10/10 on a brand you cannot afford. Starter cars still belong on platforms. Use Codex as a shopping list after how to make money is already ticking.
Event cars and shop-limiteds still count when they exist in the garage. A car on the two-week trade lock still counts as owned. OG Wraps do not get their own Codex row. Gamepass cars count; the pass itself does not. See gamepasses if you are buying a bundle only to fill a tile.
Codex versus codes versus seasons
- Codex — collection index. Brand pages. Completion rewards.
- Codes — Settings, Enter code, +. Cash or a Foxzie Edition car. How to redeem.
- Season 32 — live trophy track as of September 2026. Pass cars can fill Codex tiles, then sit in B-tier for trades because the whole lobby earned them.
- Auto Drive — AFK oval. It will not tick Codex pages for you. Use Auto Drive when pads are already filled.
Moto Season and the Codex trailer landed together. Motorcycles have their own tiles. Completing moto collections is a different grind from finishing a Regular lot. Dealerships still unlock trading. Codex does not.
Using Codex before a trade
Search the brand. Confirm you do not already own the car. Confirm the listing is not a clone you cannot display. Then look at trading for the two-week lock, token tax, and OG Wrap rules. A Codex check takes ten seconds and stops the classic “I bought a duplicate I cannot park” mistake.
If a lobby seller says a car is “not in Codex so it is rare,” that can mean removed, unreleased, or a renamed placeholder. Cross-check Trello and the latest update. Do not pay S-tier tokens for a D-tier leftover from a brand strike.
What the June 2026 trailer actually announced
The Foxzie clip “MOTO SEASON!! NEW CODEX!” is the official beat. Jeffington filmed it, like most weekly trailers. The useful facts: motorcycles got a season beat, and the garage finally has a searchable index. It did not replace Settings codes. It did not add a new dealership. It did not make Auto Drive collect brands.
Later weeks (Open Top, dunes, fog, three-spawn) added cars that show up as new tiles. Recheck Codex after every Foxzie Friday. Official posts sit on Foxzie, Discord, and YouTube @Foxzie.
Use Codex as a map of the garage. Use the Guides Hub as a map of the wiki. Use pads as the thing that actually pays.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for codes, cars, trading, and dealership progress.
Is the Car Codex the same as promo codes?
No. Codex is the brand collection index. Promo codes are typed in Settings. Start with the codes list for cash.
When was Codex added to Car Dealership Tycoon?
Season 30, 20 June 2026, alongside the moto-season trailer on this page.
Do Codex completions unlock trading?
No. Trading still needs a finished dealership or Trade Tokens. See trading and dealerships.
Why does my Codex total not match an old YouTube video?
Foxzie adds and removes cars. Ford left in May 2025. New limiteds and licensed badges add tiles. Trust the live UI.
Should I buy a gamepass just to fill a Codex page?
Usually no. Fill pads first. If you already want VIP or a bundle, read gamepasses for the real benefits.
