On 8 August 2026 Foxzie shipped a Dune Event that pulled two sand races out of the archive after about three years off the map. The official trailer “DUNE EVENT + LIMITED!!” (the video in the middle of this page) is the Foxzie / Jeffington clip for that week. Comic coverage and the in-game patch both describe the same package: a Meyers Manx dune buggy as the event prize, Desert Race and Dune Race back as courses, two new shop cars, a KTM X-Bow R limited with serial numbers, and code DUNEDRIFTERS for $80,000. Car Dealership Tycoon has been online since 27 March 2018. You do not install a new client for a returning race. Rejoin a 15-player server, redeem the code, and look at the shop. Online multiplayer means event mornings are crowded. The Trading Hub is still a separate 32-player place with its own rules.
What actually came back
Desert Race and Dune Race first arrived around 2022 and left about a year later. Players who joined after that window had never driven them. The 2026 return put both courses on the vote list again. Desert Race is the longer sand loop with rock formations and tight corners. Dune Race sits in the desert near the beach: a figure-8 that goes under an arch and behind a ramp rock, with a large ramp in the lap zone that costs speed if you treat it like a boost. The 2026 format used 1 / 2 / 3 laps instead of the old 1 / 2 / 4 split. Off-road tyres matter more than a hypercar top speed. Asphalt setups understeer or slide off the line. If you only own a circuit car, do not queue a three-lap Dune Race for a daily that only needs a finish. Vote the short option, or pick a drag. If you came for the Manx, bring something with travel in the suspension and expect to practice a lap before you hunt a time.
Meyers Manx and the shop cars
The event car is a Meyers Manx dune buggy. Community write-ups treat it as the prize for running the sand courses and the other listed challenges. Confirm the live quest card in-game; this wiki will not invent a task count Foxzie can change mid-week. Put the buggy on a pad if you earn it. Event bodies are collection tiles in the Car Codex even when they are not S-tier on the tier list.
Two shop cars landed with the same patch: a Porsche 911 GT3 R (991) “Monster Truck” and a Porsche 911 SC Group 4 Alméras. Those are cash (or listed) purchases, not the limited. Check the shop price before you assume a bargain. Monster-truck bodies look loud on a stand and are usually toys unless the display number is secretly strong — read the in-game earnings, not a thumbnail. The Alméras is a rally-leaning 911. If you already grind rally, it is a more honest buy than the truck.
KTM X-Bow R limited
The week’s serial limited was the KTM X-Bow R. Serial limiteds follow the usual limited cars rules: two-week trade lock, RAP talk that will disagree by the weekend, and no invented peak-pay number on this wiki. Do not dump a finished Regular lot’s bankroll into a day-one listing if your pads are empty. Trading still needs a completed dealership or purchased Trade Tokens. The X-Bow is a KTM sports car, not the moto-license bikes from the June KTM license week. Those are different updates.

Map edits that shipped with the sand
The same 8 August notes moved the Pier to the Lake, put the Assembly Line and Fusion Foundry at the docks, restored a building next to the jewellery store, added lighting and parking to the garages, and fixed a floating tree plus water around the School. Dealership recoloring stopped painting metal pieces inside Decorations. A missing controller input for nitrous (L1) was added. None of that changes lot completion percentages on dealerships. It does change where you look for photo spots and delivery turns.
What to do if the event window already closed
The ComicBook recap had the celebration ending 22 August 2026. If you are reading this in September, the Manx quest may be gone while DUNEDRIFTERS and the shop Porsches remain. Races can leave with the event or linger — check the vote list. Limited serials do not come back as the same cheap shop row; later reruns, if any, follow Foxzie’s usual markup and OG Wrap pattern.
