Trading in Car Dealership Tycoon
Finish a lot or buy Trade Tokens, then use HUD invites and the 32-player hub.
Trading is how Car Dealership Tycoon players move extra copies, limiteds, and collector cars without waiting for a shop restock. Foxzie added the system on 30 November 2024. It is online multiplayer by design: you invite someone on a 15-player map or you teleport to the Trading Hub, a separate 32-player place with booths. This guide covers unlocks, tokens, locks, and the scams that still catch new dealers.
How to unlock trading
Two doors, one result.
- Complete a dealership. One Regular lot at 100% is enough. Police and Fire count at 98%. Hyper, Moto, and Race also count if you somehow finished those first. Costs and skip-unlocks are on dealerships.
- Buy Trade Tokens with Robux in the shop. Token packs skip the completion requirement, which is the pay-to-unlock path for a brand-new account.
Until one of those is true, the trade button on the left HUD stays locked. Settings can also mute trade requests and hide inventory from other players if you want to drive in peace.
HUD invites versus the Trading Hub
On a normal server, open the trade panel, pick a player, and send an invite. They see a popup. If they are already in a trade, you get a notice instead of a silent fail. Both sides add cars and Trade Tokens, then confirm. A receipt shows what moved.
The Trading Hub is a different place. Use the trade menu option to travel there. The map is a compact auction hall. Each player gets a stall. You can list up to 10 vehicles with a token price you choose. Walking the aisles is faster than spamming invites when you are hunting a specific limited. Hub servers hold 32 players, not 15.
You can still get scammed in either mode. A booth price is not a Foxzie appraisal. It is what that player hopes you will pay.
Trade Tokens
Trade Tokens are a Robux currency. You buy packs in the shop or you receive tokens from other players in a trade. They are not earned from driving. Example pack sizes that have been sold: 1,500 tokens for 150 Robux, 5,000 for 400, and 15,000 for 1,000. Shop prices can change; check in-game before you budget.
On 2 August 2025 Foxzie added an 8% tax on token transfers. If you send 1,000 tokens, the other player receives 920. The tax exists to keep tokens from inflating to zero after people farm them through trades. Plan for the haircut when you are “adding” tokens to balance a car-for-car deal.
Tokens do not replace cash. Cash still buys shop cars and lot buttons. Tokens buy other players’ garage slots.
Locks, wraps, and gamepass cars
New cars cannot be traded for two weeks after you obtain them. The lock was added 27 September 2025. If you just won a season car or bought a limited, sit on it. Anyone asking you to “trust trade” during the lock is trying to steal it through a side deal.
OG Wraps stay untradable. Those wraps mark people who bought a limited on its first shop run. You can trade the car. You cannot officially trade the OG Wrap as a standalone item. If a clip shows an OG Wrap moving, treat it as a bug or a scam, not a feature.
Gamepass and bundle cars were originally blocked. On 11 July 2025 they became tradable. That dump changed values overnight. A car that was “Robux only” can now appear on a stall. Check the date and the demand before you overpay.
Customizations can travel with a car, but do not assume every kit, rim, and wrap survives the trade. Read the trade window, not the seller’s chat pitch.
Value lists lie a little
Community value lists are useful and stale at the same time. A new limited, a returning shop car, or a season ending will move numbers in days. Use lists as a range, not a law. Compare at least two sources, look at recent hub sales, and remember the 8% token tax.
Rules of thumb:
- First-week limiteds are volatile. Do not panic-sell the night it drops unless you need tokens for a car you already priced.
- Returning limiteds often cost more cash in the shop than they did the first time. Demand for the original OG Wrap stays collector-only.
- Shop cars with no scarcity are poor token sinks. Trade those only as adds.
- Licensed Zenvo and Pagani hold attention because they are official collabs, not because every listing is fair.
The limited cars page and the main tier list help you separate drivers from trophies. Vehicles covers how each car entered the garage in the first place.
How not to get robbed
Too-good-to-be-true is the whole scam. Nobody is giving you a rare limited plus tokens for a common shop car. Nobody needs you to “test” a trade in a third-party game. Nobody from Foxzie will DM you for your password.
Refuse:
- Trades that ask you to leave Roblox and finish on Discord with a screenshot of Robux.
- “I will go first on the next one” after they already received your car.
- Quick accepts while they are still swapping items. Watch the window until both ready checks are real.
- Offers for cars still inside the two-week lock.
If you are new, finish the getting started loop and raise cash on the money guide before you park a stall. A finished lot plus a few extra copies is a better trading inventory than one hypercar and no tokens.
Why trading exists
It is the only legitimate way to hold multiple copies of the same vehicle, each with its own save. Collectors use it to finish Codex brand pages. Racers use it to grab a drift tool they missed in a season; the races guide is the layout list if you are buying for a specific course. Dealers use it to dump duplicates after events.
It is not a cash printer. If your goal is completion percent, keep grinding pads and miles. If your goal is a specific missing car, price the token cost against the remaining shop time and walk away when the math is ugly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for codes, cars, trading, and dealership progress.
How do I unlock trading without Robux?
Complete one dealership. Regular lots need 100%. Police and Fire need 98%. Details are on dealerships.
What are Trade Tokens?
A Robux-bought currency used in trades. You can also receive them from other players. Token transfers take an 8% tax.
Can I trade a car I just got?
Not for two weeks. New vehicles are locked. OG Wraps are never tradable. Gamepass cars have been tradable since 11 July 2025.
What is the Trading Hub?
A separate 32-player place with booths. List up to 10 cars and a token price, then wait for buyers. You can still invite players on 15-player maps.
Why did my token amount shrink?
The 8% tax. Sending 1,000 tokens delivers 920. Factor that in when you add tokens to balance a deal.
How do I avoid scams?
If a deal is far above list value, decline. Never trade for Robux or Discord promises. Watch the trade window until it closes on a receipt.
