Races in Car Dealership Tycoon

Eight race families, shorter votes for quests, and why rally wants suspension.

Races

Racing is the competitive half of Car Dealership Tycoon and one of the better active cash sources on a 15-player server. You vote from the left HUD, pick a car, and run a layout with collisions disabled so a crowded grid does not become a demolition derby. This page is the type list, the voting habit that saves time on dailies, and the handling notes that actually matter.

If the HUD itself is a mystery, read controls first. If you still need a car that can finish, use starter cars and the main tier list.

Circuit: Go-Kart, Circuit, Oval

Circuit is a family of three courses.

  • Go-Kart forces a kart for 1, 3, or 6 laps on the small layout. Your garage hypercar stays in the garage. Treat it as a mini-game and a daily checkbox.
  • Circuit is the traditional paved track at 1, 3, or 5 laps. Handling and braking beat a huge top speed that you never reach.
  • Oval is the banked loop at 2, 8, or 10 laps. High-speed stability matters. This is also the shape Auto Drive uses in the AFK portal, but Auto Drive is not a race.

Circuit lobbies can fill the whole 15-player server. For a quest that only needs a completion, vote 1 lap (or 2 on oval) and collect the participation cash.

Drag: 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 mile

Drag is a straight line for up to four players. Distances are 1/8, 1/4, and 1/2 mile. Launch, shift if the car wants it, and keep it straight. The game does not always spawn you perfectly aligned; on the half-mile, a crooked spawn can kiss the quarter-mile props.

Dedicated drag cars help, but any strong accelerator works for dailies. Drag is the fastest race family to farm when you are short on time. It does not teach you the rest of the map.

Drift: points, RWD, Space handbrake

Drift is scored on points, not on a finish-line clock. Rear-wheel-drive cars with a willing rear axle are the point. Build speed, tap Space (handbrake / e-brake), steer in, then countersteer so you slide instead of spin. Holding Space the whole corner usually kills the drift. Tapping to break traction, then modulating throttle, is the loop.

The controls page repeats the input. The video on this page is a short visual for entries, holds, and reverse entries. You do not need a limited to score; several shop and season “Pro” cars are built to slide. Tune camber and drop traction if the car refuses to break loose.

Drift lobbies can take the full server. There is a point cap on the event, so farming an old glitch is not the plan. Drive clean laps.

Endurance and Mountain

Endurance is a long around-the-world style course at 1, 2, or 3 laps. It uses highway, tunnel, and desert pieces. Fuel and focus matter more than a perfect launch. A stable Grand Tourer often beats a peaky hypercar that overheats your attention.

Mountain is a sprint on the mountain road: elevation, tight crests, and a split near the peak between a longer tunnel and a riskier cliff ramp. Brakes and a car that lands straight are worth more than a top-speed number you only touch on the descent.

Both modes still have collisions off, but the scenery will wreck you if you ignore elevation.

Police: criminal versus cop

Police needs at least two players and at least one vote on each team. Criminals run a city checkpoint path and win by finishing without a three-second catch. Police win by tagging every criminal for that catch window. Each side gets a small pool of preset vehicles; pick from the icons or you spawn in the worst default.

This is the PvP race. It is not the same as Police dealership arrest missions on the dealerships lot. You can run Police races without owning that lot.

Rally and Street

Rally is dirt, 1 to 3 laps. Off-road tires and suspension upgrades matter more than a paved top speed. If you bring a slammed hypercar, you will bounce and lose to a rally car that looks slower on paper. Desert Race and Dune Race returned with the August 2026 Dune Event after years off the map. Sand wants travel in the suspension; the Dune figure-8 punishes a circuit setup. Whether they stay on the vote list after the event window is a live check.

Street is the city layout family (street / city routing depending on the current map vote). Tight walls, traffic furniture, and short straights. A car you can place is better than a car that only goes 250 in a straight line.

Custom races, hosted from the Race dealership, can lock these layouts to a vehicle class. Public votes stay open to whatever you own.

Voting, quests, and cash

Daily challenges often say “finish a race” or “set a time in X with Class Y.” Open the vote panel and push the shortest legal option. A one-lap circuit completes the quest. A ten-lap oval wastes the session. The money guide is clear: last place still pays, and races beat an empty lot.

Do not wait for a “good” lobby. Fifteen players is the cap; four is enough for drag. If nobody votes, start one.

Cash from races is one slice next to platforms, driving miles, codes, dailies, deliveries, and Auto Drive. 2x Money helps the driving slice more than it transforms a tiny drag pot, so do not buy the pass only because you like racing.

Car choice without a spreadsheet

  • Paved circuits: race tires, brakes, a car you can rotate.
  • Oval: high-speed stability.
  • Drag: launch and power; keep it straight.
  • Drift: RWD, handbrake, patience.
  • Rally / off-road: suspension travel, dirt tires.
  • Mountain: brakes and landing.
  • Police: the preset pool, not your garage hypercar.

Ford cars that old drift videos still show were removed on 28 May 2025. Use current shop and season names. The Codex, covered in vehicles, is how you see whether you already own a rally tool. Missing a season drift car is a trading problem, not a reason to skip the vote.

Season 32 and the fog weather update do not change the vote list, but fog will hide apexes. Slow in, fast out, and do not send a first-hour hypercar into a wall you cannot see. New accounts should still follow getting started before they worry about champion times.

When you want unofficial automation, that is a different (and riskier) topic on auto-race scripts. Official play is vote, drive, collect.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for codes, cars, trading, and dealership progress.

Are collisions on during races?

No. Collisions are off in races, so other players cannot legally ram you off the clock. The track and your own car still can.

Which race is fastest for daily quests?

Vote the shortest lap count. Drag (especially 1/8 mile) and one-lap circuit finishes are the usual speedruns.

How do I drift?

Use a rear-wheel-drive car, build speed, tap Space, steer in, then countersteer. Holding handbrake the whole corner usually spins you. See controls.

Does rally want the fastest hypercar?

Usually no. Dirt and jumps punish low suspension. Bring rally or off-road setup even if the top speed is lower.

Can I host a custom race from any lot?

Custom races need the Racing Dealership. Public votes work from any plot. Unlock paths are on dealerships.

Is racing the only way to make cash?

No. Pair it with platforms, driving miles, codes, and dailies. The full mix is on how to make money.
